David Myers and Simon "Si" KIng - better known as the Hairy Bikers - are known for their TV programmes that are one part cookery show, one part travelogue. This show is no different and, as the title indicates, takes the motorcycle-riding chefs across Asia. in what is being described as their `most adventurous road trip yet', the bikers tour the birthplaces of some of their favourite Asian delicacies. Among the stops on their Asian journey are Hong Kong, where they cook with a local woman in her tiny kitchen, and Thailand.

The Hairy Bikers travel to the beaches of the south and the mountains of the north to discover how Thailand's multicultural history and its place at the heart of the spice trade has created a rich and varied cuisine.

Japanese is the Hairy Bikers' all-time favourite cuisine, and they fulfil a lifetime ambition to visit this incredible country. Si finds himself a bit lost in translation at a manga café when he has to wear kitty ears.

The bikers head off into the heart of traditional Japan to find out the historic roots of Japanese cuisine. Dave puts his `Strictly' fancy footwork into action kneading noodle dough the artisan way, and they take a bike ride to see Mount Fuji.

Dave and Si discover South Korean cuisine, including Korean BBQ and fried chicken, and Si discovers he has a natural gift for the national sport, archery, while Dave brushes up on his Gangnam-style dancing.
