The One
Tonkla, the son of Wiyada-a widowed diplomat who relocates frequently-decides to go against his mother's wishes by choosing to study engineering at Khon Kaen University instead of an international program in Bangkok. Upon moving into the dormitory, he becomes close friends with 'Tid', a law student who recently left the monkhood and has a firm resolution to return and develop his hometown, which completely contrasts with the aimless Tonkla. Furthermore, he meets 'Suebsai', a closeted queer student forced by his village-headman father to study agriculture in order to inherit their family's sugarcane plantation. Secretly harboring a crush on Tonkla, Suebsai confides in 'Waddao', a female friend from the agriculture faculty who has clear standpoints and life goals.
