Mike takes over the responsibility of organising the Heck family Christmas while Frankie practises for a solo that she is singing at midnight mass.

Mike's dream comes to fruition when Frankie's boss, Mr Ehlert, offers him two tickets to the Final Four. Unfortunately, Frankie's uncle dies, and the funeral is set for the same day, leaving the two in a battle and Frankie making Mike choose which life event is more important to him.

Axl is shocked to discover that he and Sue are enrolled in the same life skills class. Things only get worse for the Ax-man when he is assigned to work with his sister on a big class project.

Mike's brother invites the Hecks to his wedding, listing their address as the location of the ceremony. Plus, Axl starts his own business.

Inspired by a pastor's rousing sermon, Frankie encourages the family to fulfil their destinies. While Sue starts a business, Brick wants a new bed.

Mike tries to make it up to Brick when he inadvertently spills the beans about his crush. Meanwhile, Sue begins her search for the boy she smooched.
