B-29 Superfortress against Japan

Due to numerous weaknesses and defects, the B-29 SUPERFORTRESS was only used in large numbers in the Pacific theater. The long-range bomber carried out air raids against Japanese cities in large formations. Escort fighters protected the bomber formations from the Japanese fighters.
