The Bernina Express

The Andean explorer is one of the highest train lines on earth, running right through the mountains of Peru. To this day, it is considered a marvel of engineering. Its rails not only lead to the famous ruined city of Machu Picchu, but also connect the ancient Inca capital of Cusco with Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca and the gleaming white city of Arequipa.
