Finally ready to settle into a relaxing retirement, police Detective Mike Dooley (James Belushi) and his trusty dog, Jerry Lee, inadvertently find themselves in the middle of a robbery investigation -- as suspects. With his pension now frozen until his name is cleared, Dooley is back on the case with Jerry to find the real criminals. However, since he's a suspect of an FBI investigation and therefore unable to access his old police resources, Dooley has to get creative.
