Ye Xiu (Yang Yang), better known online as Ye Qiu, is well-known for his skills in the multiplayer online game "Glory," where he ranks as one of the top players. However, after learning that his professional gaming team decided to replace him as the team captain, he decides to quit without a second thought. Now unemployed, Ye Xiu heads to an internet cafe owned by Chen Guo (Maggie Jiang), where he decides to apply for a job – despite knowing almost nothing about how computer hardware works. Chen Guo notices Ye Xiu's gaming skills and decides to hire him anyway, and Ye Xiu begins a new chapter in his life. But when Glory launches its newest playable stage, Ye Xiu can't stay away, and decides to dive back into the game with the hopes of regaining his former glory.
