Song of Phoenix

During the Warring States period, Qu Yuan (Ma Ke), a prodigy scholar from a prominent family, defies societal norms by falling in love with Mo Chou Nu (Zhang Xin Yu), a slave. Determined to be together, they elope to escape the strict class boundaries that threaten their relationship. However, their quest for a peaceful life is quickly disrupted as they become unwittingly entangled in the complex political intrigues of the palace's power elites. As external forces challenge their bond, Qu Yuan and Chou Nu must fight to preserve their love against overwhelming social and political pressures. This is a 2017 Chinese historical drama series exploring forbidden love and social constraints.
