Gen. Warhawk's spies steal an experimental flying gunship and kidnap a local kid who saw them, so Rambo must infiltrate Warhawk's secret snowy mountain base to get the plane and the kid back.

The president of Tierra Libre flies to New York for an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council where he hopes to ask for their help in securing peace for his country; Gen. Warhawk's men lie in wait at the airport to kidnap his daughter.

Gen. Warhawk's men raise and fix Yamato, a sunken Japanese WWII battleship and one of the two most powerful battleships ever constructed; Rambo, Hayes and master of disguise Taylor must stop him before he reaches Tierra Libre.

Gen. Warhawk and his men kidnap Col. Trautman and begin their invasion of Tierra Libre; Rambo, Hayes, Taylor and a handful of Tierra Libre soldiers form a final line of defense against them.
