Love Affairs in the Afternoon

Sawa Sasamoto (Aya Ueto), a part-time supermarket cashier and happily married woman, becomes entangled with her new neighbor Rikako Takigawa (Michiko Kichise), who leads a double life of secret affairs. When Rikako is robbed while meeting a lover, she manipulates Sawa into covering for her with the police. After the incident, Sawa becomes intrigued by Yuichi Kitano (Takumi Saito), the teacher involved in the case. As their relationship develops, Rikako's dangerous lifestyle begins to influence Sawa, potentially threatening her own marriage and moral boundaries. The complex dynamics between the two women explore the thin line between friendship, temptation, and betrayal.
