A mysterious woman who organizes illegal, high-stakes poker games arrives on Holmes and Watson's doorstep and tells them her life is in danger claiming to be a former associate of Mycroft, Sherlock's brother. However, as the pair investigates, Joan becomes suspicious that their new client isn't being truthful.

Raimondo's is the coolest place in New York and the creme de la creme gathers there Tuesday nights. This Tuesday night, a woman gets up to sing and a fight breaks out followed by bullets, leaving two men dead. One is known mobster Johnny Carolo and the other is Thomas Mitchell, a film producer. Eyewitnesses claim a man called Bumpy fired the shots. It takes awhile, but Briscoe and Green finally find him. He's a wannabe gangster who is not very welcome at Raimondo's but crashes when he can. He has a gambling problem and the Detectives pick him up mid-game, where he confesses to killing Carolo because he wouldn't let the lady finish singing his favorite song.

When a parolee is found dead in the trunk of a car, Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Curtis (Benjamin Bratt) find themselves in a race against time when two bounty hunters seem to be hunting down the same 'suspect' - dead or alive. District Attorneys McCoy (Sam Waterston) and Carmichael (Angie Harmon) prosecute the case but run into problems when details of the deadly shootout make their argument deceptive.

Betty and her family go to Guadalajara to solve Ignacio's immigration problems, and Betty questions her Aunt Mirta (Oscar, Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award winner Rita Moreno) and cousin Clara about her late mother. Meanwhile, Alexis gets a visit from Jordan (guest star Rebecca Gayheart), the woman she dated before her "death" and operation; Marc is jealous when Amanda seemingly has a new best gay friend in Tavares, and Wilhelmina gives the new man in her life a makeover.

Tommy (Denis Leary) comes under suspicion when he can't piece together the events that led to the beach house fire that nearly killed him. The entire crew finds themselves trapped during an unusual rescue. Janet (Andrea Roth) begins to worry that her newborn son prefers Tommy to her. Sean (Steven Pasquale) agrees to take part in Maggie's (Tatum O'Neal) private hobby.
