When the son of a well-known retired FBI agent is taken just blocks from their home in what appears to be a revenge kidnapping, the team must uncover if it's tied to the agent's past or trouble the son has gotten into on his own. Also, Isobel must make a hard call when information from the past comes to light, on FBI.

After uncovering a surprising connection to their past, Michael and Isobel learn the painful truth about the night Tripp (guest star JASON BEHR) attacked their mothers. Meanwhile, Alex confronts his father about their troubled family history. Elsewhere, Kyle's first date with Steph takes an awkward turn after Liz inadvertently becomes a third wheel. Aisha Tyler directs.

Liz is forced to revisit a painful part of her past when her mother, Helena (guest star BERTILA DAMAS), shows up at the diner unexpectedly. Michael urges Maria to seek help after she experiences a strange vision, and Kyle's attempt to get Steph (recurring guest star JUSTINA ADORNO) to open up doesn't go as planned. Finally, Helena's arrival in Roswell sends Rosa spiraling.
