Russell Crider is a well-liked hockey coach who is found beaten to death outside his car in an ice rink parking lot. Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Green (Jesse L. It turns out the coach was talking with three of the players after practice, one of which was Keith Taylor (Geoffrey Wigdor), a hot-headed star player and known troublemaker who claims he left the coach unharmed the night of the murder.
