While Doug and Carrie are at dinner with Neal and Marcy, they are introduced to Marc and Renne, with whom they have an instant connection. But when Doug later tries to make plans with their potentially new, much cooler couple friends, he discovers that he doesn't know their last name or their phone number.

Navy Seals are wounded, and civilians were killed during a mission in Afghanistan. A reporter who was sent along as a PR move to generate good publicity for the military. Because of the attack he is now reporting negatively about the incident.

After briefly looking for an 18-year-old, the team members realize that the real missing person is 15-year-old Matt Jameson, who was impersonating his former basketball league pal in order to work as a messenger and apprentice locksmith. The team's suspects include a fellow messenger who was found with some of Matt's possessions, a tattooed man who was seen with Matt around the time of his disappearance and a junkie who had recently slashed Matt's arm while burglarizing his apartment. Meanwhile, a concerned Samantha tries to find the underlying cause of Martin's recent tardiness and explosive temper.
