Billy Walker

Billy Walker was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Walker began his acting career by debuting in films like "Fat City" (1972) and "The Stud" (1978) starring Joan Collins. He had an early role on the television special "The 60th Anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry" (CBS, 1985-86). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "The Grand Ole Opry 65th Anniversary Celebration: The New Tradition" (1990-91), "America's Music: The Roots of Country" (TBS, 1995-96) and "Life and Times of Lefty Frizzell" (The Nashville Network, 1995-96). Additionally, he could be seen on a variety of television specials like "Country's Family Reunion" (1997-98), "Hank Williams: The Lonesome Heart of Country" (1997-98) and "Christmas Country's Family Reunion" (The Nashville Network, 1998-99). He also appeared in "Country's Family Reunion & the Young 'Uns" (The Nashville Network, 1999-2000). Walker also contributed music to "Robert Zemeckis on Smoking, Drinking and Drugging in the 20th Century: In Pursuit of Happiness" (Showtime, 1999-2000). Most recently, Walker appeared in "Grand Ole Opry 75th -- A Celebration" (CBS, 2000-01).
