Who Stole the Electric Car? In 1995, before Al Gore & Leo DiCaprio showed us it was hip to conserve energy, the 1st electric car was to be introduced. This fresh new romantic comedy (inspired by Chris Paine’s award winning documentary Who Killed the Electric Car?) begins when self-centered, egotistical GUY (Carl Fieler) takes his environmentally friendly girlfriend CHELSEA (Megan Brotherton) for granted. Chelsea tells Guy she’s leaving which makes him take matters into his own hands to win her back. Guy concocts the crazy idea to fly to Detroit & have his picture taken with the world’s 1st Electric Car (the ZEV-1). In the heat of the moment, he steals the car & takes the salesman RAY(John Brody) hostage. The duo team up with sidekick VANCE (Chris Shields) & race cross country to catch Chelsea before it’s too late. This wild road trip takes them from Motor City to LA while being pursued by police & other strange characters along the way. Find out if they can keep up the juice without using a drop of gas.
