An unnamed woman of exquisite beauty travels to Berlin, where she plans to see out the rest of her days as a drunkard. She wanders from casinos and bars to theaters and places of business, with the sole aim of drinking cognac, champagne-whatever alcohol each obliging stranger might have to hand.
