The Year Before The War

As Europe nears World War I, Hans (Petr Buchta), a humble doorman in Riga, is swept into a world of radical ideologies, political upheaval, and rising nationalism. His journey takes him across a continent in turmoil, from communes to imperial capitals, where he encounters figures like Mata Hari, Freud, Lenin, Stalin, and Trotsky amid a collapsing old order.
