The Oyster Princess

Made in Germany by legendary director Ernst Lubitsch, this 1919 film follows an oyster tycoon who decides to find a prince to marry his daughter, but things don’t go quite as planned. Visually inventive, sexually playful, and speeding at a manic pace, "The Oyster Princess" represents the best of the madcap comedies made by Lubitsch prior to his arrival in Hollywood.
