The King's Case Note

During the Joseon Dynasty, power struggles abound throughout all levels of government, leading to increased crime and corruption. King Ye Jong (Lee Sun Kyun), not deterred by this, chooses instead to gather evidence of wrongdoing and bring the responsible parties to justice. When new archivist Yi Seo (Ahn Jae Hong), a clumsy but good-hearted young man with a near-photographic memory, is appointed to the court, King Ye Jong recognizes his usefulness and recruits Yi Seo to his cause. However, King Ye Jong and Yi Seo soon face their greatest challenge yet – while investigating a murder, they discover clues that it may be linked to a greater effort to dethrone the king and destabilize the country. Will they succeed in their quest for the truth?
