The House of No Man

Ngoc Nu (Le Giang), a middle-aged divorced woman, runs a famous crab noodle soup stall in Ho Chi Minh City's Thu Duc neighborhood. As a strong-willed matriarch, she hopes her youngest daughter Ngoc Nhi (Uyen An) will pursue a career in finance, but Ngoc Nhi dreams of becoming a craftsperson. When Ngoc Nhi meets a young man at a party and falls in love, both her mother and his wealthy parents strongly oppose their relationship. Caught between family expectations and personal desires, Ngoc Nhi must decide whether to follow her mother's strict guidance or forge her own path. This is a 2023 Vietnamese movie directed by Tran Thanh that explores generational conflict and personal independence.
