The Birdwatcher

Saffron is a single mother of two who is diagnosed with terminal cancer. After hearing this she goes on a quest to find her birth mother in order to find family for her children. What she finds is a cantankerous and introverted scientist, Birdy, who is in the middle of her own crisis. Birdy’s rejection empowers Saffron to take control of her life and death and so she returns home and uses her precious remaining time to reconnect with her own daughter.
