When a group of diverse college students find themselves in a summer writing course being held in a nearby church, they are less than enthusiastic. Troubled at home in different ways these students come to class with baggage that seeps into every part of their lives. Through required writing assignments and exposure to ways of life that differ from their own, these students are humbled and experience growth, revelation and friendships in some of the most unexpected ways.
