For the heroine in this film, the excitement of the Berlin wall finally coming down in her native East Germany is nothing compared to the climactic adventure she goes on to explore her newfound freedom.  Finding herself in Los Angeles and mixed up with a pack of jewel thieves adds layer upon layer to her already compelling life story.
