Land of Broken Hearts

Huang Zhen Kai (Zhu Yi Long) lives a dull, average life as a salaryman at an advertising agency. However, he's long suspected that he's actually living in a film directed by aliens, as bizarre as it may seem. Seeking a fresh start, he breaks up with his girlfriend and moves into a new apartment, where he meets his new roommate Li Xiao Le (Qiu Tian), a strange woman who works at an underground gambling den. One night alone together changes everything: Xiao Le says she can see the alien film crew in charge of Zhen Kai's life, and they later sleep together. Zhen Kai begins to fall for Xiao Le, triggering emotions he thought were long suppressed. But one day, Xiao Le disappears without a word, and Zhen Kai finds that he may not truly have known Xiao Le at all.
