Two million dollars in FBI drugs and mafia money are missing and Jimmy, a young wise guy- moonlighting as a stuntman-is dead. Hitman Eric O'Byrne (Matthew Modine) is called in to kill Lance Cooper (James Caan) the Hollywood director blamed for Jimmy's deadly last performance. But as he gains his target's trust while learning the tricks of the stuntman's trade, he finds himself drawn to it's no-fear lifestyle...and Cooper's daughter (Joey Lauren Adams). Now, he must make the hardest choice of his life: how far will he go to protect the new family he loves from the one he can't escape?
