Hannah & Otto follows a day in the life of the two titular characters; strangers who move through their daily routines of exercise, the morning commute, working, and meeting with friends. Told in a palindromic style, the film revolves around a chance meeting on the street where the two characters bump into each other and are instantly drawn to one another
