Gary Burton & Makoto Ozone: Duet

Face to Face is vibraphonist Gary Burton and pianist Makoto Ozone’s third album, but the first as a duet. In 1981, Ozone was a student at Berklee College of Music when Burton, impressed by his virtuosity, asked him to play in his quartet. The album’s 11 tracks were recorded in the studio in two days at the end of 1994 and the concert takes place in Munich.
