Haruka Nanase, a boy with a special connection with water, has distanced himself from swimming due to certain reasons. Haruka didn't want to be tied down by anything and desired to be free. However, thanks to the constant support from Makoto, his reunion with his junior Nagisa at Iwatobi High School, and encounter with Rei which reminded him of the importance of teammates, he takes up swimming once again. With his best teammates, he starts his last summer in high school.Although he said he would swim for his teammates, he finds it hard to focus. Haruka feels lost, unable to find his future. This leads to misunderstandings with Makoto and the others, as they worry about him.The story follows Haruka and the strong bond with his irreplaceable teammates, as he finds the view from a new starting block.
