Empire of Lust

Amidst the turbulence of 1398 in the Joseon Dynasty, King Tae Jo names his youngest son as the Crown Prince instead of Yi Bang Won (Jang Hyuk), his fifth son who played a crucial role in overthrowing the previous dynasty. Kim Min Jae (Shin Ha Kyun), a skilled general, is appointed supreme commander of the military, and decides to keep a close eye on Yi Bang Won, who he believes seeks the throne for himself. However, Min Jae hides several secrets, namely that his son (and the King's son-in-law) Kim Jin (Kang Ha Neul), who lives an unambitious life of leisure and pleasure, is not actually his son by blood. Min Jae's life takes an unexpected turn when he falls in love with courtesan Ga Hee (Kang Han Na), who resembles his deceased mother – but Ga Hee is hiding a deep secret and quest for revenge of her own.
