S1, E4: Jolyon promises he’s cut ties with Louisa. While Soames and Irene honeymoon in Paris, Jolyon Senior wants to implement the succession. James is furious after Soames plans to set up a branch of Forsyte & Co. in Paris. But Soames, horrified by the ballet, resolves to return to London. Frances’ efforts to secure June an aristocratic marriage are dashed when she gets engaged to Phil.
