Thea finds herself in trouble with the police after she gets caught using a drug called "Vertigo." Oliver thinks the only way tokeep her out of jail is to find the dealer – a man who goes by the name of "The Count" (guest star SETH GABEL). Oliver turns to anold flame, and current vice cop, McKenna Hall (guest star JANINA GAVANKAR), for help. Meanwhile, Laurel steps in to defend Thea,and Felicity gives Oliver some disturbing news about Moira.

After discovering that Lionel has secretly installed video cameras in the mansion, Lex hires thugs to put surveillance devices in Lionel's Metropolis office. However, the situation gets out of control when Lionel and Martha surprise the interlopers and are taken hostage. Desperate for a way to save his mother without exposing his powers, Clark must access the office from an adjacent tall building--if he can make the leap in a single bound.

Thugs pummel Clark, who becomes powerless when he tries to stop the robbery of a LutherCorp truck carrying kryptonite.
