Adapted from Philippe Jaenada’s book, The Little Female. It’s November 1953, and Pauline Dubuisson is accused of killing her lover in cold blood. But who is this young woman whose head the whole of France wants on a plate? Is she a cold and calculating upstart? A treacherous monster who shared a bed with the Occupant (and had her head shaved for it), then went on to murder an upper-class young man out of jealousy? Or is she simply a free young woman demanding emancipation ahead of her time and challenging women’s role in society?
