Dance On!

In the collective imagination, classical dance is about grace and lightness. But dancing is physically demanding and requires thousands of hours of training. By the time dancers reach their forties, they are close to retirement, but they have often reached the height of their artistic powers. Maturity holds great artistic potential, which increasingly calls into question the glorification of youth in dance.
