Michael Scofield is now incarcerated in the lawless Sona prison in Panama. Joining him there are T-Bag, Bellick and Mahone. Together they encounter their new prison mates, but each with different experiences. Early on, the Sona inmates set out to humiliate Bellick, whilst the prison's 'kingpin', Lechero, sets his sights on Scofield and looks to cause the worst kind of trouble for him.

Armed with a plan, Michael races to find mysterious inmate Whistler before Mahone does, but what do they want with him? Also, a prisoners' revolt looms.
