Armed with a plan, Michael races to find mysterious inmate Whistler before Mahone does, but what do they want with him? Also, a prisoners' revolt looms.

Michael Scofield is now incarcerated in the lawless Sona prison in Panama. Joining him there are T-Bag, Bellick and Mahone. Together they encounter their new prison mates, but each with different experiences. Early on, the Sona inmates set out to humiliate Bellick, whilst the prison's `kingpin', Lechero, sets his sights on Scofield and looks to cause the worst kind of trouble for him.

Learning more about Sona's 'kingpin' as he gets set to punish a framed Whistler for murder. Plus, Michael's earth is shattered when he learns the truth about Sara.

The Company want Whistler out of Sona, and they want him out now. The escape plan explodes into action, but it's not Whistler who will be leaving the prison walls.

However brutal some survivors believe they must be to stay alive, we get to see that faith can sometimes be the strongest survival tool.

Michael begins to piece his escape plan together. Plus, Sucre takes up grave digging and Lincoln keeps a devastating secret.
