Along the war-torn Syrian-Iraqi border, the young journalist Noor AlHelli documents the Islamic State’s ongoing regime of terror. Yet when she encounters a group of civilians who endured the occupation and yet continue to sympathise with the enemy’s cause, her own perspective of ISIS is greatly challenged. Unafraid of taking her camera to the heart of the front line, Noor reveals the painful suffering of those embroiled in the conflict, creating the space for previously untold perspectives to be raised from the shadows.
