Lau Yung-Gam (Kelvin Lau) and Ellie (Ellie Cheung Sin-Ming) are lovers. They have been living together for 3 years in Toronto. Yet Ellie's bossy and possessive character always turn Lau into a mocking target from his colleagues. Lau finally reaches his tolerant limit and decides to terminate their relationship. Rhea (Hung Wing-Wa), Lau's boss at work, makes use of her birthday party to cheer him up. The drunken Lau encounters May (May Kwong Man-Chun) just when she is dumped by her boyfriend. Two lonely hearts entwine and rapidly get married after 7 days, despite the strong objection from May's parents as well as Lau's ex-girlfriend Ellie. Ellie even bets on their relationship that won't last for more than 3 months! Lau and May's honeymoon period lasts for only a month when Lau finds out May is pregnant. May's two-month pregnancy causes their marriage in a rock as their first encounter was only a month ago. Lau feels being cheated as the baby isn't his. In fact, May doesn't know her pregnancy when they get married. All the misunderstanding builds up and they finally commit to divorce after the baby is borne, for the purpose of saving face.
