Extreme Railway Journeys

Chris goes on a two day journey along an African railway, which connects Brazzaville to the coast. He is able to explore the capital of Republic of Congo and the scenic routes it has on offer.

Chris takes a trip on the Australian outback railway known as the Ghan, which runs from Adelaide to Darwin, and is named for the 19th century camel trains that once transported people and goods across the country.

Chris travels on the Konkan railway on the west coast of India, connecting the port cities of Mumbai and Mangalore. Western India remained undeveloped until a brave young engineer took on the rail task.

On his way from Bangkok to Mandalay, Chris travels 3200km on a series of trains that put his love for railroad travel to the test.

Starting on the coast of Chile, Chris attempts to cross the Andes by train. To do so he must hitch rides on some unusual trains and navigate some of the most inhospitable environments on Earth.

Chris' quest to reach the northernmost railway station on Earth takes the form of a 3000 km trip from Moscow to Arctic Siberia.
