On orders from Governor Gosper, Wyatt Earp heads south when he learns that Old Man Clanton has sent his men into Mexico to steal the cattle of a wealthy rancher and rob the silver trains.

Ringo's girlfriend is trying to get him to turn his life around, so he goes to Old Man Clanton and tells him he wants to leave the gang; Clanton doesn't see things that way and decides to do whatever it takes to change Ringo's mind.

When a stagecoach is robbed, Wyatt uses the opportunity to turn the rival factions of the Clanton gang against each other to prevent a showdown between the gang and the Tombstone lawmen.

A chief is determined to try and stop the flow of whiskey coming in to his warriors, but runs into trouble along the way.
