Kim Dok-Ja (Ahn Hyo-Seop) is an ordinary office worker. He is a big fan of obscure fantasy web novel "Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World," which has just completed its 10 year run. Kim Dok-Ja is the only person who has read the web novel to its end and knows how it ends. One day, Kim Dok-Ja faces the world turning into the web novel "Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World." Meanwhile ,Yoo Joong-Hyeok (Lee Min-Ho) is the main character in "Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World." He has the special ability to return to life after he dies. He is a handsome man with superb fighting skills. Yoo Joong-Hyeok and Kim Dok-Ja begin an epic journey to save the world. People around them include Yoo Sang-A (Chae Soo-Bin), Lee Hyeon-Seong (Shin Seung-Ho) , Gong Pil-Doo (Park Ho-San), Jung Hee-Won (Nana), Han Myeong-O (Choi Young-Joon) and Lee Ji-Hye (Kim Ji-Soo).
