In Between Loves

Alfred Cheung is Chang Hsin Lung, a taxi driver obsessed with pretty news reporter Jenny Tung (Maggie Cheung). Chang gets his chance to meet his idol when he apprehends a bank robber and gives Jenny the exclusive. Chang continues to help Jenny find exclusives, but her boyfriend (Lawrence Ng) isn't too keen on the cabbie's ardent attentions towards his girlfriend. Meanwhile, a taxi driver called "The Hong Kong Butcher" surfaces, leaving dismembered bodies in his murderous wake. Chang once again offers Jenny the chance for an exclusive by taking her to the slaughtered remains, but how is Chang so intimate with these crimes? Could he actually be the brutral "Hong Kong Butcher?" Surprising twists and turns, a cast of fine comic actors (including Sandra Ng and Lawrence Cheng), and the always lovely Maggie Cheung make In Between Loves an entertaining and intriguing genre cocktail that could only come out of Hong Kong!
