Following the bombing at the Hump Bar, the wives struggle to put their lives back together. Roxy awaits word about Trevor from his superiors, and - with the news of Joan's pregnancy - Roland and Joan re-evaluate their relationship.

Roxy takes care of Betty while she recovers from the bombing, and Pamela is frustrated by Chase's secrecy.

Finn develops a schoolboy crush on Claudia Joy and asks her out on a date, Denise bonds with a wounded soldier named Mac, and Chase tells Pamela and their kids that he has to leave on another mission.

Roland is offered a job as a high school counselor; Denise makes a new friend; Joan informs her troops of her pregnancy.

Trevor returns home a hero but is conflicted, while Frank - still in Iraq - becomes worried about Denise's newfound independence.

Joan finally comes back to the post and to Roland but Roland's guilt over his affair with a reporter begins to effect the future of his marriage. Meanwhile. Frank's homecoming from having his unit shot down is put in further turmoil by Denise's job, and Michael is about to have a career change.
