Jay agrees to sub in on Cam’s bowling team for the finals but Cam was not fully upfront about it being an all gay league, which puts Jay in a precarious position. Phil and Claire have a surprisingly good time with unlikely dinner companions, their neighbors Ronnie and Amber, and Gloria and Mitch agree to go clubbing with Haley to prove they’re still young and fun but they didn’t anticipate the pre-party portion of the night.

Maura embraces her new journey, but nothing about life as a woman is easy; Sarah introduces her husband to her ex-girlfriend Tammy; Josh pays a visit to his ex-babysitter, Rita; Ali gets closer to her trainer.

Maura finally comes out to Ali, and they join Sarah on a field trip to the mall, where they all get rude lessons in womanhood; Josh is forced to confront his past, thanks to questions from Syd about his longtime relationship with Rita.
