A container ship smuggling steroids arrives at the Harbour of Kotka. The cargo is picked up by a gang operating in the Finnish-Russian border region. The gang is led by Tuula while her husband Upi is in prison. Exploiting Upi’s absence, Tuula is expanding the business to make bigger profit.

Upi meets with Jylhä from the drug squad, with whom he co-operates in the Harbour. Jylhä promises to help with the new type of cargo, but demands more money.

Meri escapes the furious Tume but decides to keep aloof from him. The body of Raivo-Räsänen, who was shot dead by K¬–P, is driven ashore. Korpela from the National Bureau of Investigation has been called for. The dead man is Korpela’s old acquaintance, and she sets out to investigate his execution.

Tuula and Sipe visit the grave of their long since missing father. Father was declared dead ten years before, but Sipe believes he is still alive. At the grave, the sisters end up quarrelling, when Tuula says she thinks their father is dead and that’s all for the good.

Korpela and Salo are watching the hospital’s surveillance tapes which show an unknown, dark-skinned man (Bona). Hubbis is no longer a suspect. Upi and Tuula receive another invitation to Luke’s school, this time because the boy has been cutting school.

Jylhä asks Upi to help with Satu. He claims she said she was eighteen. Upi sends Tume to take a false passport to Satu’s apartment. Tume finds Meri in the apartment and gets angry, but Korpela intervenes. Upi has sent K–P to find out about the body of Tuula’s father.
