Rathnam hides diamonds worth 10 crores inside a pair of slippers and hands them to Thyagu, who misplaces them. When he realizes the worth of the sandals, he sends his son, Ilango, to find the pair!

Ilango arrives at Ekambaram's house and is shocked to see a large crowd gathered to pay their last respects. Just as Ilango finds the slippers, a man walks away with them.

Ilango successfully retrieves the slippers. The father and son panic when they cannot find the diamonds inside the slippers. They return to Ekambaram's house, only to receive another shock.

Thyagu and Ilango become restless in their search for the discarded slippers. On the other hand, Rathnam arrives at Ekambaram’s house to look for them himself and confronts Thyagu.

Thyagu tricks Rathnam and gets him beaten up by Ekambaram’s family. The police arrest Rathnam as Thyagu celebrates thinking the diamond slippers will be his. However, his happiness is short-lived.

Thyagu and Ilango's final attempt to recover the diamond slippers fails when the police catch them. Surprisingly, no diamonds are found, leading to their release. But where are the diamonds?
