However, her casual fibs spiral out of control when her mother misinterprets Mini's close relationship with a female friend, concluding that Mini is a lesbian and determining that she 'has to do something'.

The lie escalates dramatically as Mini's mother fully accepts the presumed lesbian relationship, giving a traditional welcome to Mini's friend and repeatedly referring to her as the,'son-in-law'.
