Chackoyum Maryyum

It is the day before Rajalakshmi's wedding and her family awaits her arrival from Bangalore. On arrival, she leaves straight to her closest friend's home. Rajalakshmi is in trouble and she believes it is only Kuriachan who can save her.

Kuriachan, who agrees to raise Rajalakshmi's child, struggles to persuade his wife Alice to keep the baby. Kuriachan reminds his wife of the financial advantage that that shall come from adopting the child.

Kuriachan eventually manages to convince Alice into adopting the child. Alice and Kuriachan decide to tell their children that the child was abandoned by someone on the roadside. Kuriachan's daughter,Elsa warms up to the child. She names him Chacko.

Alice and children inform Kuriachan that Rajalakshmi's child is blind. Kuriachan seeks an explanation for the child's blindness from Rajalakshmi through Gayathri. However, Gayathri refuses to meet him. Kuriachan begins to have doubts .

Gayathri ruthlessly spits out that she has no part in the deal between Rajalakshmi and Kuriachan and that he should not expect any help from her. Kuriachan confesses to Alice that he has been deceived.

Alice advises Kuriachan to abandon Chacko at a church. Although Kuriachan leaves with Chacko at night, he hides after seeing the commotion created by a car accident that took place in front of the church.
