For almost 500 years, the people of Vesaicha Vadgaon have married off the girls once they reach puberty. In 1990, a young girl named Ahilya dreams of becoming a doctor, not a wife.

To avoid the village’s tradition, Ahilya comes up with an idea to continue her education. Soon, she fears that Devi Vesai will not forgive her for lying. Can she keep the truth hidden for long?

Ahilya gets scared when her mother, Lakshmi, begins to suspect her. As she discovers the truth, she must choose between upholding her faith and tradition or safeguarding Ahilya's future.

With her mother’s support, Ahilya manages to become the first girl in Vesaicha Vadgaon to reach Class 10. Her happiness is short-lived, as rumours spread and the villagers come to her with questions.

In a village that thinks it is normal for young girls to die during pregnancy, Ahilya vows revenge when she loses a loved one. She takes a drastic step to save Sharada from a similar fate.

Ahilya’s plan is successful, and Sharada is safe. As rains pour over the village, the men call it Vesachi Devi’s wrath. Ahilya has to make the ultimate sacrifice to prove them wrong.
