Against Axl's wishes, the whole family takes him to college and helps him move into the dorm. Brick keeps losing his new cell phone.

Frankie, Mike and Brick notice a change for the better when the wrong address is painted on their curb. Axl misses his final test at college and Sue has a realisation while talking to high school students about college life.

In order to get her own car, Sue gets a job at a mall eatery. Mike and Frankie learn that Brick hasn't been attending any classes and Axl spends nights at home to avoid his horrible roommate.

Sue holds a seance with her friends; the football team stops Axl from attending the Halloween party in his room and the family tries to give Brick advice about girls.

Frankie adopts a dog after the family make fun of her, Sue makes the school volleyball team, and Axl, about to flunk out of multiple classes, asks Brick for help.

Sue texts Frankie non-stop while she waits for her roommate to arrive; Axl tries to solve the ant problem at his house. Brick learns he has a protector at school.
