When Jimmie Shannon clumsily proposes to long-term girlfriend Anne Arden, she turns him down flat but three days later, he needs a bride - any bride. His grandfather has died, leaving him $100m on condition he marries before he's 30. With his birthday just 30 hours away, he must either woo Arden all over again or marry one of the thousands of would-be wives who, hearing of his plight, have set off in hot pursuit.
